As October kicks off, Pennsylvanians are still benefiting from a steady decline in gas prices, offering financial relief to drivers across the state. The Commonwealth’s average price per gallon has dropped to $3.30, down seventeen cents from last month and fifty-seven cents compared to last year. Experts point to reduced gasoline demand and lower oil costs as key factors behind the decrease, fueling optimism that this trend may bring continued economic relief in the months to come.

Metropolitan areas across the state’s northeast region have seen fuel costs slide, as well. In East Stroudsburg, the average price per gallon stands at $3.21, which is fourteen cents cheaper than last month and fifty-five cents cheaper than a year ago. Meanwhile, in the Scranton–Wilkes-Barre–Hazleton area, gas is priced at $3.23 per gallon, marking a sixteen-cent decline over the past month and a sixty-five-cent reduction over the past year.
