Saquon Barkley returned to MetLife Stadium for the first time as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles to face the New York Giants. He played big to help lead the Eagles to a crushing 28-3 victory over the Giants on Sunday. Barkley ran for 176 yards and a touchdown, dodging and weaving through his former Giants teammates and in front of fans who were burning his old jersey before the game. During his time as a Giant, Barkley rushed for 5,211 yards (the fourth most in franchise history) and scored 47 touchdowns over five seasons. Barkley woke the Eagles up with a 55-yard run to set up his 3-yard touchdown to put Philadelphia ahead 7-0 in the second quarter.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts helped increase the margin to 14-0 after connecting with Brown on fourth-and-3 shortly after. Throughout the game, Hurts threw a 41-yard touchdown pass and scored on two tush-push touchdowns to help beat the Giants for the sixth time in seven games. Barkley helped to set up both of Hurts’ tush pushes, the first being a 38-yard run up the middle and a 41-yarder for the second. Hurts finished with 10 of 14 completions for 114 yards.

The only points put on the board for the Giants were by Greg Joseph, who kicked a 38-yard field goal at the end of the first half. Sadly for New York, the team remains winless in four games at home and has only scored one touchdown.
