The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a 33-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, with quarterback Jalen Hurts admitting, “I’ve got to be better,” after completing 18 of 30 passes for 150 yards and no interceptions. The Buccaneers dominated early, recording six sacks and holding a 287-67 yardage advantage by halftime.

Tampa Bay controlled the game, running 22 plays in Eagles territory before Philadelphia finally crossed the 50-yard line in the second quarter. The Eagles got back into the game with a 59-yard run by Saquon Barkley to the Bucs 11, setting up a 1-yard touchdown run by Hurts and cutting the lead to 24-7. Philadelphia gained momentum when Kelee Ringo recovered a blocked extra-point attempt and sprinted down the field for a defensive two-point conversion, reducing the Bucs’ lead to 30-16.

Hurts drove the Eagles to the Bucs 19, but linebacker Lavonte David sacked him, causing a fumble that effectively ended their chances of a comeback.
